This embedding board is very simple in design, but it is an essential tool that should be in every beekeeper’s kit. It consists of a board with a small recess in the centre to hold the beeswax foundation, with the frame placed over it to size. As the wire in the frame is tensioned through the middle of the side bars, embedding foundation directly on a table is not possible. The process of using the board is as follows: place the beeswax foundation on the board, lay the frame with the tensioned wire on top, and embed the wire using a spur embedder or another suitable tool. During embedding, the wire tensioned in the frame lies tightly against the beeswax foundation, making the whole process easier. Although the board is a fairly simple tool, it is a necessary accessory for both beginner and professional beekeepers.
