The entrance is square-shaped with an elongated cylinder for deeper and more secure installation in the hive.

The landing board can be fully opened or closed, making the hive easy to transport. In the centre of the landing board, the surface has holes that help bees enter more easily.

The elongated cylinder (the entrance itself) has a cross bar that prevents the queen bee from leaving and helps protect against wasps and hornets entering.
