Hive entrance attachment with acaricidal insert for Varroa mite control

This device combines the functions of a hive entrance gate and an effective aid for the prevention and control of the Varroa destructor mite. Thanks to a special insert impregnated with an active substance, it helps significantly reduce the parasite load on bee colonies.

An innovative approach to bee protection

The solution is based on the use of an insert made of foam or fibrous material impregnated with an acaricidal preparation. This approach provides contact action against the mite every time a bee enters or leaves the hive.

How it works:

• When a bee passes through the entrance, its body touches the impregnated fabric.

• The preparation is transferred to the bee, and the mite parasitising it receives a lethal dose of the substance.

• As a result of regular contact with the preparation, the number of mites in the hive is significantly reduced.

Use of this technology during the season has shown a positive effect: improved colony condition, increased activity and a higher honey yield without the use of aggressive treatment methods.

- formic acid;
- solutions of Bipin, amitraz, Skabatox, Taktic, Apimitrin;
