The entrance gate consists of two plastic parts. One part has small ventilation holes and larger holes for bees to pass through. The gate is used on lower hive entrances.

Entrance gate – a component designed to regulate how open the hive entrance is.
The hive entrance gate is made from rigid plastic. It is designed with two plates:
- fixed - a plate fitted to the hive, equipped with grooves to hold the sliding insert in place. At the edges, the outer plate has two holes for nails or self-tapping screws used to attach the gate to the hive.
- movable – a sliding insert with 15 holes for bees to pass through and small ventilation holes. By moving it, you can adjust the required opening of the entrance. The movable plate has a raised tab that makes it easy to pull out or reposition.
The entrance gate can be set in two positions: fully open entrance, ventilation.
Used on lower hive entrances.
