Nicot queen transport cage
The Nicot cage is deservedly considered one of the most refined products of its kind. Its design is thought through to the smallest detail – from quality to practical use.
The cage has two compartments: one for feed and one for holding the queen bee and accompanying bees.
In the larger compartment (54x35x1
1 mm), the queen bee and bees have enough space to move around. It is fitted with small grid-like openings on the walls and base of the cage. There are also openings on the removable cover. Fresh air constantly circulates through them to the insects.
The smaller compartment is intended for feed (candy). It is especially useful when transporting insects over long distances. It can also be used for introducing a queen bee into a bee colony or nucleus hive (nuc). For this purpose, the cage has an opening that is broken out in advance with light pressure.
Important! When introducing a queen bee it is recommended to release the accompanying bees.
As the cage is made from semi-transparent plastic, you can observe the queen bee, bees or remaining feed without opening the cover.
In addition, the Nicot transport cage can be used multiple times.
