Hive Cover Cloth (Polozhok) DOUBLE-THREAD, 10-frame (45 x 51 cm)

For 10-frame hives.

Used to cover the top bars of the frames and to fully close the spaces between the frames. Bees propolise the cover cloth, which helps prevent draughts and moisture in the hive and improves thermal insulation. It is recommended to overlock the edges of the cover cloth to prevent the threads from fraying. Insulation is placed on top of the cover cloth.

Double-thread fabric is a dense fabric with properties and a feel similar to sacking, but denser. It is stronger than denim fabric. It undergoes additional treatment, giving it qualities such as shrink resistance, non-flammability, increased wear resistance, water repellency and it hardly creases.
