Oxalic Acid Sublimator 250 W / AC 12 V

This sublimator is designed for controlled heating and vaporization of oxalic acid when treating bee colonies. When heated, oxalic acid enters the vapour phase and, after cooling, forms fine crystalline particles that spread inside the hive. The device is equipped with an electronic temperature controller and a 250 W heating element.

POWER SUPPLY

The heating element is marked AC 12 V, while the electronic controller is marked 12 V, 50/60 Hz.

For this version of the device, do not use a car battery or another 12 V DC power source unless compatibility of the specific unit with such a source has been confirmed by the manufacturer or after appropriate technical modification.

The previous statement in the product description that a car battery was unsuitable because of insufficient power was incorrect and has been removed.

USE OF OXALIC ACID

The sublimator is equipment for vaporizing oxalic acid; it is not a veterinary medicine.

The concentration, dosage, number of treatments, intervals between treatments and permissible treatment period should be determined according to the instructions for the specific oxalic-acid product and applicable recommendations for its use.

We intentionally do not state a universal dosage or a guaranteed efficiency percentage because results depend on the method of use, condition of the bee colony, presence of brood, temperature, concentration of the substance and other conditions.

Do not exceed the temperature recommended by the manufacturer of the substance or equipment. Excessive heating of oxalic acid may cause decomposition and the formation of undesirable products.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Oxalic acid vapours and fine particles are hazardous to humans.

Use the sublimator outdoors only and position yourself so that vapours do not enter the operator's breathing zone.

Always use appropriate respiratory protection, safety goggles and gloves.

Do not inhale oxalic acid vapours or aerosol. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Metal parts of the sublimator become very hot during operation. Do not touch hot parts and do not leave the powered device unattended.

Before inspection, cleaning or repair, disconnect the power and allow the device to cool completely.

Keep the device and oxalic acid out of reach of children.
