Apivarol in the form of smoke tablets for varroa infestation in honey bees. It disperses through the hive as smoke. Effective and fast-acting against varroa mites
One of the biggest pests in the apiary, which beekeepers constantly have to fight, is the varroa mite. This small, inconspicuous mite can destroy more than one bee colony. A range of treatments has been developed to prevent and eliminate it in the hive. One effective and fast-acting product is Apivarol, supplied in tablet form.
Treatment with Apivarol is carried out in spring or autumn at a temperature of not less than 10 C. Hives should be treated in the evening after the bees have finished flying.
Dosage. One tablet is required for one bee colony. The product disperses in the hive as smoke. To do this, light the tablet and place it through the entrance onto the hive floor under the combs. Then close the entrance for 20 minutes.
Varroa mites fall to the bottom of the hive and die within 2-72 hours. To check for paralysed mites, a sheet of paper greased with vegetable fat can be placed on the bottom of the hive.
The best results can be obtained by carrying out two to three treatments at intervals of 4-6 days.
Apivarol is particularly effective against varroa infestation when the treatment is carried out using a Varrojet. The tablet quickly turns into smoke, which spreads through the hive. Using a Varrojet makes the treatment procedure quick and helps ensure a strong result.
Warning! Apivarol must not be used during the honey flow. It is not recommended to eat food or drink water while treating hives with the product.
Store out of reach of children at a temperature of 15-25 C. Avoid the product entering water bodies.
