Bipin-T 0.5 ml Skif is an acaricidal preparation for treatment and prevention of varroatosis in bees. The active ingredient is amitraz; 0.5 ml of the preparation is diluted in 1 L of clean drinking water for fine-drop application to bees in the spaces between frames.

Purpose

Bipin-T is used for treatment and prevention of varroatosis in bees. The preparation has acaricidal action and is intended for control of the Varroa mite.

Composition and packing

Use

To prepare the working emulsion, 0.5 ml of Bipin-T is thoroughly mixed with 1 L of clean drinking water. The prepared solution should be used within one working day.

Treatment is carried out by fine-drop application of the emulsion to bees in the spaces between frames. Consumption rate of the working solution is 10 ml per one bee space between frames.

Treatment conditions and precautions

  • Two applications are recommended: after the end of honey flow and honey extraction, and before preparing colonies for wintering if Varroa mites are visibly present on adult bees.
  • Bee colonies are treated in autumn when brood quantity is minimal and during cluster formation.
  • Outdoor air temperature during treatment should be not lower than 0 °C.
  • Before treating the whole apiary, it is recommended to test the preparation on 1–2 bee colonies and monitor their condition for 24 hours.
  • Overdosing is dangerous for bees. Do not treat colonies weaker than 4–5 bee spaces.
  • Apiary treatment should be carried out with the participation of a veterinarian.

Storage

Store in a dry, cool place protected from light and out of reach of children, at a temperature from 0 °C to +30 °C. Shelf life is 3 years.
