Support for Nicot holders

fixing the Nicot support to a grafting barUsing a support on a grafting frame makes it quick and easy to transfer a large number of larvae for queen rearing. Traditional beekeeping methods using melted wax are now a thing of the past. The grafting frame now has a more modern design. To make a grafting frame, supports are arranged on it in several rows. The distance between queen cells for queen rearing should be at least 1 cm to allow bee access, while for collecting royal jelly a close arrangement of queen cells is acceptable. The supports are prepared on the grafting bar according to the required queen cell layout. The support has factory-made holes for fixing. It can be attached with small wood screws.

By design, the support is made for convenient attachment of holders with a cell cup. The Nicot holder with cell cup is easily and securely fixed to the grafting bar using the support. The convenience of the support is especially noticeable when removing mature queen cells that the bees have fixed in place with wax.

Hot water can be used to clean the parts of the Nicot system, but please note that wax melts at 65°C, and the plastic used in the Nicot system may deform at 75°C (according to the manufacturer - Nicot, France).
