Nicot Cell Cup Holders
When using the Nicot system for queen bee rearing, it is often necessary to buy replacement parts that have been lost or to expand the system’s functionality. Cell cup holders are quite often lost or need replacing in the Nicot system.
The holders are used to hold a cell cup with a larva inside. The holder itself attaches easily to the base, which can be fitted to a grafting bar. The external size of the holder allows a protective cage (hair roller cage) to be securely attached to it. In the protective cage, together with the holder, a mature queen cell can be placed into a queenless colony, split, nucleus hive (nuc) or artificial incubator.
To clean Nicot system parts, hot water may be used, but please note that wax melts at 65°C, while the plastic used in the Nicot system may deform at 75°C (according to the manufacturer, Nicot, France).
