In the Nicot system, special strips with cell cups are used for collecting royal jelly. After grafting the larvae, they are transferred to a queenless colony for queen rearing. When rearing larvae to obtain royal jelly, close spacing of the larvae is acceptable. The strip with cell cups makes it easy to transfer larvae for queen rearing and use them for collecting royal jelly.

Nicot cell cups in strips specially for collecting royal jelly. Each strip consists of 11 cell cups. When using the Nicot system to obtain royal jelly, 10 such strips are required. You can also combine the strips with standard (single) Nicot cell cups. The strips can also be used separately from the Nicot system by attaching them to a grafting bar with melted wax or wire. For convenient use, we recommend using the special Nicot holders for strips with cell cups.

Hot water can be used to clean Nicot system parts, but please note that wax melts at 65°C, while the plastic used in the Nicot system may deform at 75°C (according to the manufacturer, Nicot, France).
