The Nicot system was developed by specialists in queen rearing, taking into account all the biological requirements known to modern beekeeping science. During its existence, the French company Nicoplast has gained a leading position and recognition for its bee products. The company has been operating for more than 40 years (since 1973) and continuously develops and modernises its production equipment and the products it manufactures. Beekeeping products are manufactured under the Nicot ™ trade mark.

All Nicot kit sets consist of components that can also be purchased separately. This is especially convenient for beekeepers buying a Nicot comb for the first time, as they can purchase all the necessary components as required.

Nicot “Milk” system kit

The benefits of using royal jelly are already well appreciated around the world. To increase the profitability of the apiary, beekeepers are looking for new sources of income. One new and quite profitable option is the production of royal jelly.

The Nicot “Milk” system includes special cell cups in strips of 11 cell cups. The strips are used to fit the cell cups onto the Nicot comb. The “Milk” kit includes 10 such strips, fully meeting the Nicot system’s requirement for cell cups. After the larvae are obtained, the strips are transferred to queenless colonies for further queen rearing. For fitting to the grafting bar, this kit can be used with special strip holders, or the strips can be attached using melted wax.

The Nicot “Milk” system kit includes:

• Nicot comb (cassette, the main comb system of any Nicot kit) - 1 pc.
• Set of Nicot cell-cup strips (each strip holds 11 Nicot cell cups) - 10 pcs.
• Holders for cell-cup strips (for inserting cell-cup strips with larvae) - 5 pcs.
• Spoon for collecting RJ (special Nicot spoon for royal jelly) - 10 pcs.
• User instructions (supplied in the original in French) - 1 pc.
The “Milk” kit does not include individual cell cups, holders or protective cages. To rear queen bees with this kit, you will need to purchase the required Nicot system components separately.

Cell-cup strips with larvae are attached to the grafting bar using holders or melted wax. Wax is a simple yet effective fastening method. It securely fixes the cell cups, and the bees readily accept them for queen rearing. Using Nicot holders makes it much easier to transfer larvae onto the grafting bar.

When using the Nicot system for queen rearing or royal jelly production for the first time, the beekeeper can realistically assess the need for—and quantity of—other components. All components can be purchased, if required, from our UkrBee online store.
