The degree of kerosene purification is very important. The quality of the kerosene directly affects both the bees themselves and the treatment properties of the preparations. It is strongly not recommended to use other liquids as solvents, such as aviation kerosene, barbecue lighter fluid and similar products. By using poorly purified liquids when preparing a solution for the smoke cannon, you risk causing serious damage to the cannon itself. Using an unsuitable liquid as a solvent may clog your cannon with sediment released from preparations when they do not fully dissolve.
Hungarian kerosene has a unique multi-stage level of purification. By using kerosene of this quality, you reduce the risk of damaging your cannon to virtually zero. The degree of kerosene purification also affects the bees themselves; how well they tolerate treatment with the preparation depends on its quality. The cleaner the kerosene, the lower the chance of any complications for the bees after treatment.
One 1-litre can of purified kerosene is enough for approximately 1000 doses. A solution prepared with it can be stored for several months.
