Taktik 10 ml, Romania (analogue of Taktik, Hungary)

Directions for use:
Using the Varomor smoke cannon To prepare the emulsion (Taktik working solution) for treating 10 bee colonies, 1 ml of “Taktik” is required; it should be diluted with 20 ml of purified  kerosene . The solution is prepared on the day of treatment. One 10 ml bottle is enough for 200 doses, which can be used to treat 100 bee colonies. Treatment of bees against varroosis is carried out by spraying in the form of smoke, so it is most effective when used with the Varomor smoke cannon. To neutralise the mites, 1-2 puffs of smoke per bee colony are sufficient.

Trickling method (using a syringe): Prepare the working emulsion by thoroughly mixing 1 ml of Taktik with 2 l of clean drinking water, respectively. Draw the prepared solution into a syringe and treat the bee colonies by finely trickling the emulsion onto the bees in the spaces between the frames. Application rate of the prepared solution – 10 ml per one seam of bees. 

Treatment time:
Bee colonies are treated in autumn when the amount of brood is minimal and during the formation of the bee cluster, at an outside air temperature not lower than 0 °C. No side effects are observed at the recommended doses.

It is recommended to carry out treatment twice:
– after the end of the honey flow and honey extraction;
– before preparing bees for wintering (if mites are present on adult bees).

Precautions:
Before treating the apiary on a large scale, the product must be checked for safety for bees and therapeutic efficacy – first in 1 – 2 colonies, on 1 – 2 seams of bees, followed by 24-hour observation of their condition. Overdosing the product is dangerous for bees. Do not treat colonies weaker than 4 – 5 seams of bees. Do not use during the honey flow or when the temperature in the hive is below 0 °C. Smoking, drinking and eating are prohibited while using the product. The use of gloves is recommended.

Storage – store in a dry place, protected from light, at room temperature in closed packaging.
