Numbered queen marking tags in standard colours, Czechia

Opalith tags make it easy to mark queen bees using adhesive and give each marked queen bee her own unique number. One set contains enough numbers for a small apiary. Numbering from 1 to 99 allows you to track productive lines more accurately or simply keep control of the pedigree of each bee colony.

These Czech tags have a slightly rounded shape for a more accurate fit on the queen bee’s thorax. The tags are supplied in all the main colours according to the international beekeeping colour standard. The colours are bright enough to help you find a marked queen bee easily in the hive. For fixing, it is recommended to use a special quick-drying adhesive. After attaching the tag, it is advisable to keep the queen bee in a cage for a few minutes and only then release her. During this time, the smell of the adhesive dissipates and the tag bonds securely to the queen bee, helping ensure successful acceptance of the marked queen bee in the hive and long, reliable wear throughout her life.
