QuickStart Jenter comb

A wide range of systems from different manufacturers are used for queen bee rearing in beekeeping. Beekeepers have long debated the advantages of some systems and the drawbacks of others. Now the new Jenter comb kit called "QuickStart" is designed to remove those disagreements and take a leading position in queen rearing. The kit has been developed with the convenience associated with the French "Nicot" systems, while retaining the same high cassette quality previously found only in the combs of the German company "Karl-Heinz Jenter".

The most advanced and complete Jenter comb "QuickStart" kit

This comb kit is currently considered the most complete and convenient of all queen rearing systems. Unlike older kits, it uses special holders for the queen cell cup, which can be easily positioned on the grafting frame using pre-prepared bases. Owners of earlier Jenter comb kits can upgrade their set and use the new bases and holders. They can be purchased separately. All new components are compatible with older Jenter kits.

The story behind the Jenter "QuickStart" kit

Since 2015, the Jenter comb kit marked "QuickStart" has been produced with an improved system for securing queen cells to the grafting bar. For this purpose, a new fastening system was designed to attach the cell cup to the holder and to the base, which is now securely fixed to the grafting bar with small nails. Since the beginning of 2018, several more improvements have been introduced to the "QuickStart" kit. The most noticeable changes are on the front cover of the cassette. The grid that allows bees to reach the larvae is now made in the form of sun rays radiating from a round plug. These changes help eliminate cover defects that could occur during intensive use of the Jenter comb. Today, the 2018 version of the Jenter "QuickStart" comb kit is considered the most complete and refined.
