"DK" Queen Introduction and Mailing Cage

A convenient and reliable cage that ensures safe transport and introduction of queen bees. Made from plastic, it has a removable white top lid for easy access to the queen bee and convenient use. 

To introduce the queen bee, remove the old queen from the hive or make a split 4-6 hours before introduction;

Fill the special tube in the cage with feed (for example, candy) and place the new queen bee in the cage;

After some time (around 20-40 hours), the bees remove all the feed from the cage;

Once the feed has been removed, the bees gain access to the queen bee one at a time, while the queen bee remains protected;

Only when the queen bee feels safe does she leave the cage;

The cage is also successfully used for transporting queen bees in beekeeping.
