Cell Cups on Strip for Royal Jelly

In beekeeping, there is growing interest in obtaining royal jelly, an exceptional and beneficial product. Many methods are used to collect royal jelly, but they are not all highly efficient in practice. Working with individual cell cups takes a great deal of the beekeeper’s time. To make collection more efficient, the cell cups are fixed onto strips and used on both small-scale and commercial apiaries for obtaining royal jelly. The strips allow batch operations to be carried out on all the cell cups at once. For example, wax caps can be cut off from all 63 or 33 cell cups at the same time, depending on the type of strip.
Many beekeepers collect royal jelly together with the larva inside it. The larva itself contains many beneficial substances and can only add value. However, to obtain a pure product, we recommend removing the larva before collecting the royal jelly. Tweezers with a fine grip are used for this purpose. In modern beekeeping, there are many special tools for removing royal jelly from the cell cup, such as wooden and plastic spatulas, vacuum pumps for extraction, and so on.

The strips are supplied in two types and differ only in the number of cell cups on the strip. Single-row strips hold 33 cell cups and are mounted on a plastic plate 380mm long and 11mm wide. Double-row strips hold 63 cell cups and are mounted on a 378x22mm plate. When ordering, you need to select the required type of strip with cell cups.

The cell cups on the strips have an internal diameter of 10mm and a depth of 12.7 mm. After use, the strips can be easily treated thermally and chemically, and can be reused for collecting royal jelly over several seasons.
