Gel Ice Pack

The gel ice pack is designed to preserve and maintain the required temperature for several hours. To use it, fill the pack with 400g of water through the top valve. The valve on the pack is one-way and does not allow liquid to leak out. After a few minutes, the water in the pack will turn into a gel. Before use, place the gel pack in the freezer for several hours. The packs are used with insulated bags or car coolers.

In beekeeping, gel ice packs are used to maintain temperature when transporting frozen royal jelly. They are also sometimes used to help maintain higher temperatures, for example when transporting queen cells or bee brood.
