WangShi Manpu varroa mite strips (20 pcs)
20 strong-action polyvinyl strips for varroa mite control, with fluvalinate as the active substance.
WangShi Manpu mite strips (WangShi Manpu)
Recommendations for use
A strong-action preparation in strip form, ranging from light yellow to orange-yellow in colour, with a distinctive odour. Used for effective control of the varroa mite.
Permitted rates for mite control per bee colony:
For prevention in a small colony – half a strip
For prevention in a large colony – one strip, divided into two parts
When there is a small number of mites – half a strip
In cases of heavy mite infestation - one strip, divided into two parts
Place the divided strips between the bee frames in the central area of the brood nest so that the bees can move over them on both sides of the frames, and leave for 7 to 10 days. After this, remove and dispose of them. For effective results, treat bee colonies during the broodless period (spring, autumn), or after removing brood from the colonies.
Hives can be treated with “Manpu” at temperatures from +10.
Because the fluvalinate content in the preparation is low, it does not harm bees or the queen bee, while at the same time having a lethal effect on varroa mites. However, frequent treatment with the preparation is not permitted. This can lead to mites becoming accustomed to the active substance. The optimal frequency of use is twice a year.
Treatment should be completed 30-45 days before the start of the main honey flow.
Warning! When working with the preparation, it is recommended to wear gloves and a respirator. After treating hives, be sure to wash your hands!
Always test the product on several bee colonies (2-3) before treating your entire apiary.
