Chinese GRAPHITE semi-automatic grafting tool
This convenient small semi-automatic grafting tool is used in beekeeping to transfer larvae together with royal jelly. The tool gently picks up the larva with royal jelly thanks to its soft tip. The spring mechanism is similar to that of a ballpoint pen. To release the larva from the tool, simply press the plunger lightly and it will automatically slide the larva off the tip. Unlike other models, this grafting tool has a soft silicone plunger. It releases the larva more gently and accurately, without damaging it. This tool is also slightly smaller than other models, allowing more precise work with miniature items.
Recommendations for use: Take the grafting tool and place the tip against the wall of the comb cell, then carefully lower the tool down along the wall to the bottom of the cell. The soft tip will bend and pass between the bottom of the cell and the larva with royal jelly. Carefully remove the tool with the larva. This way the larva remains in the royal jelly and is not injured. Then press the plunger to gently slide the larva from the tool into the cell cup.
