The automatic mechanism of the tools is quite simple: the larva, together with royal jelly, is picked up from the comb with the soft silicone tip of the tool. The larva rests on the tip of the tool. Pressing the button moves the larva off the tool with the plunger. In this way, the larva is transferred from the tool into the queen cell cup.
