Varomor smoke cannon "ApiVar" (galvanised coil, gas cylinder)

For effective control of varroosis in bees, modern beekeeping uses equipment such as the Varomor smoke cannon. Treatment is carried out by fumigating the bees. When medicinal products are added to the working solution, the bees receive them through evaporation. Preparations used by beekeepers to prepare the working solution include fluvalinate, Bipin, thymol, amitraz, oxalic acid, etc. Water, 96% ethyl alcohol or purified kerosene is used as the solvent.

When using the "ApiVar" Varomor smoke cannon and clean, environmentally friendly preparations (thymol, oxalic acid, etc.), it is possible to effectively control Varroa mites without using chemicals. This is of particular interest to beekeepers who run eco-apiaries. In this case, the use of chemical preparations is highly undesirable.

The cannon is designed for treating a large number of hives. Therefore, the "ApiVar" Varomor is suitable for use on commercial apiaries. In just a few hours, the cannon can thoroughly treat hundreds of hives.
