Cassette cap – a plug designed to close the opening of the Nicot cassette for complete isolation of the queen bee during egg laying.
The plastic plug is fitted with two tabs to help remove it from the cassette. The internal diameter of the cap is made to fit the cassette opening; it fits tightly and does not fall out.
The spare cap for the Nicot cassette is used if the original cap included in the set is lost or damaged.
The plug is an essential component of the Nicot cassette, required for productive egg laying by the queen bee. The cap closes the opening on the front cover of the cassette, through which the queen bee is first introduced. Proper isolation of the queen bee in the cassette is necessary for successful filling of the comb cells with larvae.
Important! Do not introduce the queen bee into the cassette without the cap or with a damaged cap.
To avoid disruption to the queen rearing process due to a lost plug, it is advisable to keep spare caps for the Nicot cassette on hand in advance.
