Wasp Trap Insert

The wasp trap is a safe and environmentally friendly way to catch wasps. Designed for outdoor use. The insert design protects the trap from rainwater getting inside and prevents the liquid bait from evaporating, even at high temperatures. Once wasps enter the trap, they cannot get back out.

The best time for catching wasps is spring and early summer, as there are still relatively few wasps in the nests at this time.

How to Use the Wasp Trap

Use the insert with a standard plastic bottle (1-1.5 l). To make an effective wasp trap:

• Pour bait into the bottle so that it covers the bottom by 5-7 cm. Liquid bait works best for catching wasps, such as honey, beer, kvass, Coca-Cola or apple juice.
• Make 2 cross-shaped cuts of approximately 4 cm in the central part of the bottle and insert the trap inserts into them. You can install one insert, but two are recommended for better results. Position the inserts opposite each other. Another hole can be made at the top of the bottle, allowing the bait scent to spread more quickly into the air around the bottle.
• Screw the cap onto the bottle with the bait inside and place it where wasps most often gather.

Wasps easily enter the bottle through the insert openings, but cannot get back out. If no wasps have entered the trap within two days, move it to another location.

The trap can also be used to catch flies and hornets.
