An effective treatment for controlling Varroa mites in bees. Manufacturer – BeeWell.
A product for effective control of varroosis. The active ingredient is tau-fluvalinate (23.3%), which disrupts the mite’s nervous system and affects its motor centres. At the same time, the substance is completely safe for bees.
The product is recommended for use after the spring cleansing flight and in autumn, after the end of the honey harvest. Treatment should be carried out twice at an interval of 5–7 days; the ambient temperature must be no lower than 15 °C.
Treatment can be carried out using the Varomor fogger, or with sprayers (Rosinka sprayer, etc.).
Preparing the working solution for the Varomor fogger
Add 3 ml of Mavrik to 100 ml of boiled warm water (16–25 °C) and mix until a uniform liquid is formed.
Use 1–2 puffs of smoke per colony.
Preparing the working solution for a sprayer
Add 1 ml of Mavrik to 1 l of boiled warm water (16–25 °C), then mix. Use 1 ml of working solution per bee space (1 l is enough to treat up to 100 frames).
