Dadant Dummy Board (Diaphragm)
Used to separate the bee nest from the empty space in the hive. Made to fit a Dadant frame.
Width - 450 mm,
Height - 300 mm,
Thickness - 18 mm.
Used mainly in spring, as well as in autumn and winter, when bee colonies do not occupy the entire nest area. The diaphragm should slide freely into the hive body and also be easy to remove, while fitting closely against the walls to prevent heat loss and bees passing through. A bee passage is made at the bottom of the board by leaving an 8-10 mm space to the floor or mesh. Two diaphragms should be placed to the left and right of the frames, and the free space between the dummy board and the hive walls is filled with insulation cushions.
Material: wood + polystyrene
Country of manufacture: Ukraine.
