The multifunctional Gaidar queen cage serves several purposes at once. The cage can be used both for introducing queen bees and for transport. The Gaidar “Multifunctional” cage is made of plastic and has a more elongated shape than the “Zhalo” cage.
Gaidar “Multifunctional” Queen Cage
Previously, different cages were used for introducing and sending queen bees. They differed in appearance and functionality. Beekeepers had to use different cages for different purposes. Those days are long gone, and modern beekeeping now uses so-called “multifunctional” cages. This means that one cage can be used for various purposes: for introducing and sending a queen bee, and for isolating a queen bee.
The cage consists of a body, a block and a sliding cover. The block has compartments for bee access and compartments for feed. When transporting and introducing a queen bee, the feed compartments are filled with candy. The cages have special connecting elements that allow them to be joined together. This provides convenience during transport.
