This cage can be used in any situation where a queen bee needs to be held temporarily. The queen bee is placed in the cage for posting, when introducing her into a new bee colony, or for isolation.

The cage is a plastic container with numerous small holes in the walls. At the bottom there is a sliding gate that closes 2 openings. The larger opening is used for the queen bee to leave the cage. A queen cell can also be inserted into it when rearing a queen bee. The smaller opening allows bees to reach the queen bee during the familiarisation period. If the small opening is opened, the queen bee cannot get out, while bees can enter and approach her. This allows you to see the bees’ attitude towards the queen bee: whether they have accepted her or not. At the top there is a rotating wheel with feed openings, through which food is provided to the queen bee.
