Since their introduction, Jero beekeeping knives have created a real buzz among tools for removing cappings from honey combs. Beekeepers around the world, after trying a Jero knife once, continue to use it regularly. The special sharpening allows the knife to remove wax cappings from honey frames with light, easy strokes. Using a Jero knife removes the need for the beekeeper to heat a knife in hot water or use an electric or steam uncapping knife.
The knife blades are made from stainless steel. The blade edge can be serrated on one side or on both sides of the blade. To choose the sharpening type, please specify the required model when ordering. The blade length can be 25 or 28 centimetres, depending on the beekeeper’s preference. The tip of the knife is slightly raised in relation to the surface of the honey comb, which is very convenient when using the knife to remove all cappings in a single pass.
This type of tip does not catch on the frame bar and does not get stuck in the comb. The knife handle is available in two versions: plastic or hardwood. The blade of an original knife should carry the Jero Beekeeping logo with a bee image.
