These filters are designed to clean honey of bee-related residues and other foreign particles. Honey without unwanted impurities has a more marketable appearance, which can have a positive effect on its value. The filters consist of two mesh screens: the upper mesh has larger openings than the lower one. This allows the honey to be cleaned in two stages: the first mesh catches larger debris, while the second mesh filters out finer particles that pass through the coarse mesh. There are several types of stainless steel filters available, including filters with a spherical mesh and filters with a flat mesh surface.
