AVV Wire Tensioner ("Wave" Device)

With this bench tool, tensioning wire on frames is quick and easy.

The tensioner consists of a wooden board fitted with a spool holder, rollers, a locking screw and stops.

Operating sequence:

1.     place the frame between the stops;
2.     tighten the screw so that it holds the frame securely;
3.     insert the spool of wire into the spool holder;
4.     start feeding the wire through the holes in the side bars of the frame, passing the wire around a roller each time;
5.     secure the lower end of the wire with a nail and cut it off;
6.     then, starting from the bottom, remove the wire from the roller and tension it well;
7.     repeat this with each roller, right up to the top;
8.     secure the upper end of the wire with a nail in the same way and cut it off.
9.     loosen the locking screw and remove the frame.
