Nicot protective cage, 100 pcs (bag). Original! France
A cage from the Nicot system for protecting a queen cell or queen bee. Its shape resembles a “hair roller”, which is why beekeepers often use this nickname.
Nicot protective cage, 100 pcs (bag). France
In beekeeping, a protective cage is used to protect a queen cell. The “hair roller” cage is also convenient for transporting or protecting a queen bee.
Special Nicot holders are designed for attaching the “hair roller” cages in the Nicot system; these in turn are fixed onto Nicot cell cup bases. The hair roller cages fit securely onto these holders. There is a tightly closing lid at the top of the cage. Special openings in the cage walls provide air access. These openings also allow bees to have contact with the queen bee, which is a very important part of introducing a queen bee correctly into a bee colony. The lid has special recesses where feed can be placed if needed, to provide the queen bee with food.
The price is for 100 pieces!
