Flaubert Tube "BEE-PROFI" for Marking Queen Bees (Korea)

Using a queen marking tube makes the queen bee marking process easy and safe for the queen bee of the hive. The queen marking tube is a transparent plastic container with a piston inside, fitted with a foam pad. At the top there is an opening through which the bees are placed inside the tube. The opening is then covered with a grille, which the queen bee cannot pass through, so she remains inside the tube. The other bees, however, can leave the tube freely. The advantage of using this type of tube is that there is no need to catch the queen bee separately in order to place her in the tube. Simply “scoop up” several bees together with the queen bee using the tube and cover the opening with the sliding grille. Then carefully move the piston upwards, pressing the bees closer to the opening. The bees will easily leave the tube through the holes in the grille, while the queen bee remains in the tube. The piston is used to gently press the queen bee against the surface, and the mark is applied through the holes in the grille.

Thanks to the soft foam pad on the piston, the queen bee remains unharmed throughout the process. The advantage of the Flaubert tube for marking queen bees (Korea) is that it is made from transparent plastic, making it less fragile than a similar glass tube.
