Nicot Queen Cell Protector Cap with Lid
Part of the Nicot queen rearing system. This accessory is designed to protect a mature queen cell from being destroyed by bees.
Nicot Queen Cell Protector Cap with Lid
Reliable protection for a mature queen cell during queen bee rearing. Cut out the queen cell and place it inside the cap so that the tip of the queen cell protrudes slightly through the smaller opening, then close the lid. The queen bee will later emerge through this opening. If necessary, candy feed can be placed in the lid. Special recesses are provided in the lid for this purpose. In this way, the protected queen bee will not be destroyed by other bees. These protected queen cells are then given to a bee colony for continued warming until the young queen bee emerges from the queen cell. The cap clips onto a standard Nicot base and can be positioned conveniently in the hive. Ensure that the cap with the queen cell is placed so that it can always be properly warmed by the bees.
A standard Nicot protective cage. is used to catch the young queen bee when she emerges from the queen cell. It is the right size and fits easily onto the cap.
All parts are reusable. They can be washed in hot water at a temperature not exceeding 75°C.
