Mesh is used in beekeeping for separating or introducing bee colonies. It can be used to make ventilation for beehives. Since the mesh is made from interwoven stainless steel wires that form small openings between them, it is ideal for ventilation. Rodents and insects cannot enter the hive through the nearly identical openings measuring about 2.5 x 2.5 mm.
One of the main functions of this mesh is to help protect bees from Varroa mites. Once a mite falls below the mesh, it cannot get back through the openings into the hive.
If required, this mesh can be easily cut, bent and shaped as needed. The stainless steel from which the mesh is made ensures long-lasting use.
