The mesh is made from quality low-carbon wire with a thickness of 0.5 mm. In the apiary, this mesh is used for:
A specific weaving method creates small 2.5 mm openings. These apertures are ideal for air circulation and reliable protection against not only rodents entering the hive, but also unwanted insects.
Low-carbon wire mesh is also used for protection against Varroa mites. Once the parasites fall through the openings, they cannot get back into the hive.
If required, the mesh can be bent, cut and shaped as needed.
