Varroa mite strips FISHBEE FLUMEVAR (10 pcs)
Recommendations for using Flumevar strips (10 strips, Flumethrin & Chinese Herbal)
The best time to treat hives against varroa mites with FLUMEVAR is in spring before insect breeding, or in autumn after the honey harvest. Treatment will be more effective if the product is placed in the hive in the first half of the day in warm weather. Hives can be treated at temperatures no lower than 15°C!
The strips are impregnated with a strong-action flumethrin preparation and release a slight specific odour. For effective, complete mite control, one strip is intended for one colony.
Application of the product depends on the level of mite infestation - 1/4 - 1 / 2 of the strip. Cut the strips along the pattern shown on them and place them at different sides of the hive.
Keep the product between the frames for 7-10 days, then hang another strip and leave it for 28 days.
If mite infestation is high, keep the strip in the hive for more than 4 weeks.
To avoid harmful effects of the product on bees, place it near the hive entrance or near the queen excluder and turn it over after 2-3 days.
Small colonies can be given one strip, divided into 2 parts.
FLUMEVAR acts on mites through contact and stomach toxicity, causing their death within half an hour after placement in the hive.
The product does not harm bees.
Important! Strips with the product must not remain in the hive for longer than 8 weeks. Always test the product on a few bee colonies (2-3) before you treat the entire apiary.
