Mavrilk (20 strips)

“Mavrilk” is used to control Varroa mites. The required dose depends on the bee colony and the level of mite infestation.

Recommendations for using “Mavrilk”

For prevention, it is recommended to use 1/4–1/2 strip per colony, depending on the level of parasite infestation. Place it in the bee space between frames in the central area of the brood nest so that the bees can move over it from both sides of the frames, and leave it in place for 7 to 10 days.

A whole “Mavrilk” strip is used for a large colony. Divide it into 2 parts, place them between the frames and leave for 35 days. Heavy mite infestation is treated in the same way. The strip should be turned every 2–3 days. The dose and number of applications may be increased or reduced depending on the condition of the bee colony.

For maximum mite control, it is recommended to treat hives in autumn or spring during the broodless period.
Treatment should be completed 30–40 days before the start of the honey flow.

Thanks to its strong active ingredient, fluvalinate, it has a destructive effect on mites. However, to avoid resistance, Varroa control products should be alternated from time to time.

Warning! Do not use “Mavrilk” during the honey flow. Always test the product on several bee colonies (2–3) before treating the entire apiary.

Work with the product only while wearing gloves, and always wash your hands afterwards.
