Plastic feeder from a Ukrainian manufacturer with removable lids and a dividing partition. Capacity: 2 L. Dimensions: 33.5 x 20.5 x 5.6 cm.
The hive top feeder is made from high-quality food-grade plastic. It is divided into two sections: one for feed (28 x 19 cm), and the other for bees to access the feeder (3.5 x 19 cm). At the bottom of the smaller feeder section there are three openings, each measuring 5 x 1 cm. This is quite sufficient for the insects to pass through. The lower part of the feeder section is narrower than the upper part. One wall of the bee access section is set at an angle of about 15 degrees and has a ribbed surface so that the bees can easily reach the feed section. The adjacent wall leading to the feed is made symmetrically in the same way.
The feed section is divided into two parts by a removable ribbed partition. It forms a small chamber (3 x 19 cm) into which feed passes from the main large section through narrow openings at the bottom of the partition. This is the chamber where the bees feed. It is designed so that feed constantly enters this section in the required amount.
The insects cannot get into the main feed section, as it is securely closed with a lid and separated by a dividing plate. The bee access section and the feeder section are closed with a separate lid.
The hive top feeder is convenient to use. If necessary, it can be easily disassembled and cleaned. Two lids (large and small) and the dividing partition can be removed from the feeder.
The feeder is fitted under the hive roof. It is used for feeding bees with syrup, honey-water feed or medicinal additives.
These are poured into the large section, after which it is closed with the lid.
The hive top feeder can be used in any apiary.
