The Nicot system was developed by specialists in beekeeping and queen rearing, taking into account all biological requirements known to modern bee science. Over its years of operation, the French company Nicoplast has gained leading positions and recognition for its bee products. The company has existed for more than 40 years (since 1973) and continuously develops and modernises its own equipment and the products it releases to the global market. Beekeeping products are produced under the Nicot ™ trade mark.
All Nicot kit sets consist of components that can also be purchased separately. This is especially convenient for beekeepers buying a Nicot comb for the first time, as they can purchase all the necessary components as required.
This kit has been put together especially for beekeepers purchasing the Nicot system for the first time. It includes the minimum essentials for a beekeeper with a small requirement for queen bees. Later, the beekeeper can order the required quantity of additional component parts.
• Nicot comb (cassette, the main comb system of any Nicot kit) - 1 pc.
• Set of Nicot cell cups (the system has 110 holes for Nicot cell cups) - 110 pcs.
The starter kit does not include protective cages, cell cup holders or holder supports. Mature queen cells can be given to splits or prepared nucleus hives (nucs) without protective cages. Beekeepers often make homemade cages for isolating queen cells and queen bees. Cell cups can be attached to the grafting bar using melted wax. This is a fairly simple yet effective method. The wax securely fixes the cell cups and the bees readily accept them for queen rearing.
When using the Nicot queen rearing system for the first time, the beekeeper will be able to realistically assess the need for, and quantity of, other components. All components can be purchased separately from our UkrBee online store if required.
