The holder for cell cups from the Jenter comb system is used to secure a cell cup with a larva from the "Jenter comb" system. The cell cup with holder is then inserted into a grafting bar. The holes for the holders in the bar should be 17 - 18mm.

Jenter produces two types of yellow holders: smooth and ribbed. Smooth holders were used in the first Jenter comb systems and can still be used perfectly well in grafting bars or with thick roller cages. Thin roller cages cannot be attached to smooth holders. Therefore, after the release of the thin cages, Jenter also introduced a new version of the yellow holders. To make them visually distinguishable, they were made ribbed. The special shape of the neck on the ribbed holders allows them to be used with all cages and cell cups produced by Karl Jenter.
