Electric Honeycomb Uncapping Plane
(uncapping plane for wax cappings)
The honey frame uncapping tool is used to remove the wax cappings from honey frames before extracting honey. The hot blade works like a plane, shaving off the thin top layer while leaving the combs intact and even. The uncapping plane is powered from a standard 220 V household mains supply. During use, after cutting the comb, it is advisable not to place the knife in the wax cappings. In wax, the knife cools down and will not have the required temperature for the next use. The uncapping plane is designed for long, intensive operation. It does not require constant cooling.
After use, it is recommended to clean the uncapping plane of honey and wax. Dip the knife into wax and allow it to cool with a thin wax coating, which provides reliable protection for the product until its next use.
