In modern queen rearing, various grafting spatulas are used for transferring larvae, differing in material, size and other functional features. A metal spatula is considered the classic option and is therefore most often used by experienced beekeepers.
This spatula model is a new product on the beekeeping market. It is made from stainless steel. The set also includes 2 spare plates (tongues) for picking up larvae and a screwdriver for adjusting or replacing them.
How it works:
The spatula has a special lever which, when pressed, moves the tongue down/up. This makes it easy to lift and pick up a larva/egg and transfer it into a cell cup.
A special adjustment mechanism allows you to set the required extension length of the spatula tongue.
