Bottom Pollen Trap (Plastic)

The pollen trap is installed in place of the lower entrance, in the lower hive body. To enter the hive, the bees go through the entrance of the pollen trap and pass inside it through a grid with many holes. As they pass through the small openings, the bees catch their legs on the surface of the pollen trap and the pollen loads fall from their legs into the pollen trap container. The container filled with pollen can then be removed very easily. The pollen trap entrance is fitted with a plastic partition so that it can be closed and opened when required, for example when transporting the hive.

Many beekeepers find this pollen trap design very convenient, as the pollen container is located inside the hive and protected from moisture.
