The feeder/drinker allows you to feed bees in any weather without opening the hive. It can be used to give bees syrup or plain water.
The advantage of this vacuum feeder is that it can be used without opening the hive. This is very convenient in cold weather, when it is important to avoid chilling the bees and any existing brood. The feeder can be filled with either syrup or plain water. The feeder container closes airtight and does not leak. The extended flat surface gives the bees access to the feed from inside the hive.
To add feed, turn the feeder upside down, open the lid (base) and pour in the syrup. Then close the lid (base), turn the feeder back with the bowl facing upwards and place it in the hive entrance. The feeder bowl is made from translucent plastic, allowing the beekeeper to monitor feed consumption and top it up in good time.
