API-MAXI "100" Queen Rearing Comb
The "Api" comb, "Maxi" "100" model, is a complete kit with everything needed for queen bee rearing. This kit is a more affordable alternative to the Nicot system. All components in the kit can be used together with the Nicot system.
The queen rearing system is very convenient to use. Even without in-depth knowledge of queen rearing, a beekeeper can produce high-quality queen bees independently.
The cassette has 110 cells for cell cups. On one side, the cassette is closed with a cover to prevent the cell cups from falling out. On the other side, the cassette is closed with a grid. Through the grid, bees can make contact with the queen bee and also feed the larvae laid by the queen bee. The queen bee cannot pass through the grid and remains in the cassette at all times. When it is time to transfer the larvae, the grafting bar needs to be prepared. The API-MAXI "100" kit includes everything required for this. Special "hair-roller" cages are fitted over sealed mature queen cells on days 10–11. This means that when the queen bee emerges, she will be in a protective cage.
