Thanks to this, the metal body of the hive tool does not dig into your hands, making work in the apiary not only easy but also pleasant.
In addition, this hive tool is well known for its multifunctionality. It can be used to prise frames apart in the hive, clean frame bars, hive walls and floors, separate hive bodies, detach the floor, and open or close the entrance reducer. The sharply ground end can also be used for removing old paint during hive repairs.
During repairs, the nail puller built into the hive tool can also come in handy.

“Flober” tube
The Austrian-made “Flober” tube is one of the leading high-quality, safe tools for marking queen bees.
It is made from transparent glass and has a cylindrical shape with three openings. Two are on the sides and one is in the middle of the cylinder with a small protrusion. The latter is designed for catching the queen bee directly from the comb. This is completely safe for the insect and convenient for the beekeeper.
The other two opposite openings are closed: one with a plastic mesh cap and the other with a wooden plunger with a soft layer of foam.
Once the queen bee enters the “Flober” tube, the foam-tipped plunger is used to move her gently towards the mesh cap and hold her in place. This keeps the queen bee relatively still and easily accessible for applying any markings.
Thanks to the “Flober” tube, the process of marking queen bees becomes quick and easy even for a beginner beekeeper.

At first glance, a frame grip may not seem essential. However, beekeepers who get used to using one in practice often feel lost without it.
This tool is an indispensable helper in the apiary, as it makes it easy to remove frames from the hive, hold them and place them back again.
Ease of use is provided by the wooden handle shaped for the fingers, while the stainless steel and lightweight construction ensure the grip’s durability.
