Apiary Logbook

Every organised beekeeper keeps a clear plan of all work carried out in the apiary. This helps keep the beekeeping operation in good order and ensures important details, events and achievements are not forgotten. For the most important notes, a special apiary logbook has been created for beekeepers.

You can record:

• the numbering of the bee colony;
• the year of queen bee birth;
• the origin of the queen bee;
• the colony’s productivity for the previous year, including how much honey and wax was collected;
• how many splits or swarms were obtained;
• winter hardiness.

The apiary calendar also includes ruled space for recording inspection dates, the number of frames, beeswax foundation and other important notes.

Records are kept to improve the efficiency of bee colonies, identify shortcomings and correct them.
